Today, I had the immense pleasure of distributing over 1000 plants in the vibrant communities of Sanjay Nagar and Govindpuram, Ghaziabad, alongside my esteemed colleague, Sruvinder Kisan. This initiative is a part of our ongoing effort to promote environmental sustainability and engage our community in preserving our precious green cover.
As I handed out each plant, I saw the spark of excitement in the eyes of our residents. This simple act of planting trees is a step towards a greener, healthier future for Ghaziabad. Our city has the potential to become a beacon of environmental stewardship, and it starts with each one of us taking responsibility for our surroundings.
But our journey doesn’t end here. We are also leading a critical petition to save 1.1 lakh trees in Uttar Pradesh, which are threatened by the proposed Kanwar Route Project. While we respect the importance of development and the Kanwar Yatra, we must find sustainable solutions that do not compromise our natural heritage. Trees are not just a part of our landscape; they are vital for our ecological balance, air quality, and overall well-being.
Our petition has garnered significant support from environmental groups, local communities, and concerned citizens across the state. It’s heartening to see so many people coming together for this cause. I believe that with your continued support, we can urge the government to consider alternative routes or methods that preserve our trees.
This is more than a campaign; it’s a movement for sustainable development. Every tree we save, every plant we nurture, brings us closer to a future where development and nature coexist harmoniously.
Let’s keep the momentum going! Together, we can make a difference.
